It really means the world to me that you have taken the time to check out this blog. I have done my best to fill it with my musings on life and how I do my very best to get the most out of life!

Why Mumsymisfit?

The first part I guess is pretty self-explanatory, I’m a mum! lol! The misfit part though I guess needs some explaining.

I have never fit in, and I mean never! As a child I was picked on because I am mixed race and I hit puberty at 10 so had boobs before all the other girls in my class. Then as I grew up I found my likes and dislikes never placed me in one group. So I knew everyone in the playground and would spend time with those that fit my needs at the time. I guess this aability to move from one crowd to th next is what made me unique, as well as the odd one out; never truly aligning myself with one tribe.

Growing up this led me to almost change in character dependant on which group of friends I was with. Burying parts of my personality to fit in with them. It was hard work! But along the way I also lost quite a bit of myself. In fact I would go as far to say I became more of a people pleaser rather than keeping myself happy.

At the start of 2018, I hit rock bottom. My people pleasin had left me drained and unable to pleasee anyone as I was just too unhappy in myself. I knew at this moment I hadto make a change. I needed to find who I was, and what made me happy. As my journey progressed I very quickly realised that it was my uniqueness that was liked by everyone which was why I could “fit in” with any crowd without having to conform. Being me and happy with who I am is what has made me confident and raised my energy levels. My outlook on life is much more positive and I want to share my journey with you.

I hope to bring interesting blog articles that give some basic tips on all of the above topics every Friday.

I also have a number of courses and books in the pipeline that will be shared with you as they are released, with links of how to purchase and/or access them (yes, there will be some freebies in there too).

Who am I?

My name is Hannah Marriage. I am a mum with a full time job as a Mental Health Nurse and part time job as a Mental Health and Wellbeing Coach.
