6 powerful ways to track your life

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am trying a new approach to my monthly planning set up in the hope to be more accountable to myself. This has been split into 2 books; tracking 6 major areas of my life.

1) Tracking daily ideals

I hate the term habit tracker. But I am determined to be more accountable to myself as I believe this is the best way to develop healthy routines.

My ideals is separated into 3 sections (am, pm, rest of the day). Routines to establish a great start and end to a day and other areas I want to make more routine in my life in general for a much more fulfilled way of life.

2) Planning my blog content

Having tried various different blog tracking methods before and always failing I was determined to keep this as simple as possible. I note which days I plan on posting and then as I create content allocate a space.

A simple monthly overview is enough for me.

3) My life in pixels

This is as simple as it reads. A grid like format with 5 categories identifying an overall mood of the day.

There are varying styles on Pinterest, however being as this was the first time I have done it I wanted to keep it as simple as possible.

4) The Mumsy Scale

I have developed this scale to allow me the opportunity to consider 8 key elements of my life and score it out of 10 (1 being the lowest and 10 the highest). A really fabulous tool when trying to decide what I want my monthly goals to be. I will look to make this a printable should you all want it. Just leave me a comment below.

5) Monthly intentions

I was listening to a podcast the other day where the following point was made

Goals are not the important part, but rather the person you become when achieving them

It really got me thinking and so I chose to change goal setting to intention making. Things I want to achieve that I know will be attainable and will make me a better person.

6) Being accountable to me

Having seen so many pretty completed designs as you have seen above. I initially wanted that. But then I though, ticking a box just so it is filled or marking a day as happy when it was rubbish isn’t me being accountable.

These charts aren’t for anyone else but me. I shouldn’t lie to myself. If anything I need to be the most honest with myself so that moving forward my intentions are accurate for me.
