A few days ago I wrote a blog post for Organise Happy entitled 7 steps to get healthy in 2019.

Since writing the post I realised just how important the first step of that process was! I am by no means a stick thin individual promoting a diet full of nutrition and health foods etc. I have spent years trying to be that person, and the one time in my life when I did achieve it in all honesty, I felt miserable.
So what’s different now? I tell myself I am beautiful

Sounds too simple? It really isn’t. It took me a good few weeks to actually feel like I believed the statement. But once I did all those niggles I had, such as wanting to be taller, slimmer, or have a rounder bottom no longer mattered. I saw a beautiful person standing in front of me.
In my believing I noticed other changes in my lifestyle. I found myself choosing healthier options when out. I didn’t feel the need to binge eat on crisps or chocolate because I felt sorry for myself. And though I may not find myself loosing lots of weight in the process I have become comfortable with who I am.
I encourage you to try saying this simple affirmation daily in front of a mirror and let me know how long it takes for your mindset to shift.
