UKPA Big Meet

OK this may be a longer post than usual! Only because it was just such an amazing day and I am still on a high writing this now!

I arrived at the Big Meet and was overwhelmed by the sheer number of people in the room! So many wonderful and inspiring women (and men) around me, all into planning.

The small business owners, running the sticker shops (which I spend a small fortune a month on) all at one end of the room. Obviously not every single shop I could shop in on line, as that would be a silly Etsy convention me thinks. Having said that, there were still some amazing shops there, and I managed to spend a decent amount of money on well deserved SWAG in my opinion

.

Not only was there so many wonderful people there to chat to and discuss all things planner related there was also a workshop by Trimcraft (which came with more amazing free goodies) and Erin Condren was the guest speaker. For those of you who are new to the planner world, Erin Condren is the mastermind behind the life planner which though still based out in America, is becoming more and more of a prominent diary in the UK now. And we were fortunate enough to be honoured not only by her presence, but also gifted a life planner each which is for the European market and had limited edition covers just for us! I almost cried when she announced the planners for us all!
Erin also gave us such an inspiring speech which left me feeling even more uplifted and excited about my future. She definitely filled me with #girlpower!

After Erin’s speech she did a meet and greet and was signing everyone’s new diaries. I decided to take mine one step further and got Stephanie (our UKPA Queen, and head organiser of The Big Meet) to sign it too, and got Joey (a well known handwriting expert in our planner group) to write my name so it looked pretty. So now I am in the process of back planning (as I didn’t want January to look blank) as well as future planning. It’s great being able to use my sticker kits in their entirety too now! I’m definitely getting much more out of my stickers! lol!

As I mentioned at the beginning, I also got to meet some amazing people and was sat on a table full of some fabulous female entrepreneurs, running 3 of the stalls in the mini market. It was so inspiring to be surrounded by them and to see all their fantastic products! And the table gifts were just awesome as well! I couldn’t believe how much effort everyone had put into getting the gifts ready!

Oh and then there was the official goodie bag! Which was packed full of sticker samplers, planner accessories, die cuts, pins and the cutest little TN ever! I still cant get over the amount of stuff we all got!
Finally, the last place to find SWAG and for free as well, was the swaps table. Typically there was more stuff than anyone could have accounted for. And I walked away with a bag full of stuff! Mainly a lot of wash tape, a load of planners and notebooks and of course a large selection of stickers, including 2 full EC kits which I thoughts was really impressive!

I don’t think the pictures quite do the day justice, but it gives you a small sense of how amazing the day was. It was worth every penny and more and I genuinely cannot wait until next year! Here are a fee more images from the day….
